Game Report The first match of the fourth day was between Japan U21 (Japan) South Korea (Korea). Soon after the start of the game, Japan tallies goals with cut plays and middle shots. 8 minutes into the quarter, Korea who had been forced to defend most of the time got a chance with extra man offense and #41 scored a goal with a middle shot from a trick play. However they struggled to attack Japanfs goal because of turnovers and Japan piles up goals. The 1st quarter finished with 10-1 to Japan.
Japan kept their momentum through to the 2nd quarter. They further added 8 goals with superb running shot from a #29 defenseman, and ended the first half 18-1.
In the second half the game started to become a little rough with more fouls committed by Korea. 11 minutes into 3rd quarter Korea downed 4 men and Japan didnft miss the opportunity add to the board. The game didnft change much in the 4th quarter, Korea showing roughness. Japan may have lost the rhythm and scoring slowed down. But the game still ending with 30-1.
In the first half, Japan entertained the crowed with variety of plays but it was unfortunate to see unnecessary fouls from Korea in the second half.
