Round Robin USA-CALIFORNIA vs Team KOREA Date 14/06/2005(Tue)17:00 Place Maishima Sports Island ,Osaka,Japan
Game Report The fifth game was against the American men's regional team from California(CAL) and the Korean national squad(KOR).
During the 1Q, CAL, with exceeding ability, kept on threatening KOR by storming down the field and scoring a number of goals. But, with strong will power, KOR was able to get a goal which was shot from a direct run through the middle of the field to the goal. The score at the end of the 1Q was 4-1.
Even through the 2Q, CAL kept their pace without losing a bit of their concentration, and nailed 8 hard shots in a row into the KOR goal. Meanwhile, KOR had very little time for offense and couldn't get a hold of the chances they had during their offense time. Therefore, CAL kept the lead, the score becoming 12-1 at the end of the 2Q.
KOR's No.41 tried to get his team another point by putting off a 1on1 close to the crease, but failed to get the ball past the goalie, for CAL's goalie(No.21) impressed the crowd by showing a great save. But KOR's No.41 didn't overlook their next chance;he smashed in a shot for KOR soon after. But that was the last of KOR's counterattack. They weren't able to defend themselves any further from CAL's powerful offense, and the score became 17-2.
In the 4Q, CAL's goalie fascinated the audience by shooting a goal. The game ended with the final score of 23-2.
